Pullmantur Air, nuevo cliente de Iberia Airport Services

  • Se trata de un contrato por dos años prorrogable a otro más, para atender en Madrid los Boeing B747/400 de Pullmantur Air hacia destinos en Caribe y Europa.


La división de aeropuertos de Iberia, Iberia Airport Services, ha cerrado un nuevo contrato de handling para los próximos dos años con la compañía Pullmantur Air, que podría prorrogarse otro año más.

Desde el próximo 27 de mayo, Iberia atenderá en el aeropuerto Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas a los pasajeros y aviones Boeing B747/400 de Pullmantur Air con destino a distintos enclaves en América - sobre todo, Caribe- y en Europa. Se estima que este contrato supondría cerca de 300 operaciones al año.

Además de este contrato para la prestación de servicios de handling, ambas compañías colaboran en otros ámbitos; entre otros, Iberia opera vuelos chárter para conectar con los cruceros que el grupo Pullmantur ofrece desde Málaga y Barcelona al norte de Europa y otros destinos.

Iberia Airport Services es la división de handling de Iberia, la primera empresa de handling de España y una de las más importantes de Europa. En la actualidad, Iberia Airport Services presta servicio de asistencia a pasajeros, rampa y/o carga en 41 aeropuertos españoles.

En 2013, atendió a cerca de 73 millones de pasajeros, que volaban en más de 310.000 aviones de más de 200 aerolíneas clientes.

A finales del pasado mes de marzo, Iberia presentó su candidatura para optar a las licencias de handling de los 22 aeropuertos con menos de un millón de pasajeros al año, y tiene previsto también optar a estos concursos en los aeropuertos españoles de mayor tráfico.
