Help with your job applications for aerospace and aviation employment from the RAeS Careers team [feedly]

Help with your job applications for aerospace and aviation employment from the RAeS Careers team
// Royal Aeronautical News

With recruitment for industrial placement schemes and graduate programmes starting in September 2015 now open for applications, Careers in Aerospace LIVE only a few weeks away away and apprenticeship recruitment commencing in the New Year, now is the perfect time to assess your CV and application techniques.

You may be aware that the Royal Aeronautical Society has offered FREE 1-2-1s for anyone seeking employment in aerospace and aviation and needing help with their CV, covering letters, online application forms and interview technique since 1997 at our London office. However, if travelling to London is difficult, we also offer FREE Careers Guidance and CV Workshops  at your university or college for students seeking work placements, graduate employment and apprenticeships.

The workshops are designed for groups of ten or more students seeking graduate employment or other types of work experience in aerospace or aviation.

Students are given advice from our in-house specialist Careers team on how to prepare CVs, make online and written applications and 'selling themselves' at that vital interview, The workshops also provide employability advice - the use of soft skills and competence-based questions in the selection process and how to address these from your own experiences both within and outside aerospace.

The workshops are open to any students looking to work in the sector and attendees are invited to bring their CVs along for some 'speedy' 1-2-1s at the end of the workshop.

How to book a session

If you have a group of 10 students minimum (no upper limit) and would like to book a visit to your university or college from the Careers team, or would like to book an individual 1-2-1 appointment please contact:

T: + 44 (0)20 7670 4325
M: + 44 (0)7824 512941
E: careers@aerosociety.com

Remember - many graduate and placement schemes open in the Autumn and will be closing from late November so the earlier you book a session, the earlier you can get help to make your applications stand out from the crowd!

We are also running bite-sized CV Workshops at Careers in Aerospace LIVE on Friday 7 November 2014, RAeS HQ, London W1J 7BQ. For more information about the event please visit http://www.aerosociety.com/Careers-Education/careersinaerospacelive
