US's Stratolaunch Systems takes first B747-400


Stratolaunch Systems (Huntsville International) has completed the induction of its first B747-400, namely N744VG (msn 32745), having acquired it earlier this year during the bankruptcy of rival Virgin Orbit (OBT).

World's largest plane carries fueled hypersonic test vehicle into the skies

Active turbulence cancellation makes bumpy flights 80% smoother


Austrian company Turbulence Solutions claims it's already flight-testing a system that can detect and neutralize air turbulence, reducing the forces felt by passengers by up to 80% – and reducing fuel burn by up to 10%. It's set to launch in 2024.
