Iberia lanza proceso de selección de pilotos de nuevo ingreso

·         La renovación de la flota y la llegada de los nuevos A320neo y A350-900 de nueva generación abre nuevas oportunidades a los pilotos que quieran optar a esta convocatoria.

 

 

 

Madrid, 6 de octubre 2017

 

Iberia ha abierto hoy una nueva convocatoria para seleccionar pilotos de nuevo ingreso. Las personas interesadas en optar a estas plazas deberán presentar las solicitudes en el siguiente enlace:  https://iberia.aplygo.com/seleccionpilotos, donde se informa de todos los detalles de la convocatoria. La primera prueba de selección se realizará el próximo 18 de octubre.

 

Iberia está en pleno proceso de renovación de su flota, que se intensifica a partir del año próximo con la llegada de los primeros A320neo y A350-900. Se trata de aviones de nueva generación que requieren unos procesos de formación específicos e intensos. El movimiento de tripulantes de una flota a otra, con las necesidades de entrenamiento que esto requiere, y los cambios de función de segundos a comandantes, generan nuevas necesidades de tripulantes y abren una oportunidad para los quieren optar a trabajar en una compañía como Iberia, la aerolínea más puntual del mundo.

 

 

Requisitos básicos

 

§  Nivel mínimo de estudios: Prueba de acceso a la universidad aprobada, o estudios finalizados que permitan el acceso a la universidad.

§  Cualificación mínima ATPL(A) frozen EASA parte FCL y MCC.

§  Certificado médico clase 1 en vigor.

§  Certificado de competencia lingüística en Inglés mínimo nivel 4 y Castellano nivel 6.

§  Para aspirantes extranjeros equivalente al nivel C2 de castellano, según define el MCERL (Marco Común Europeo de Referencia para las Lenguas) o equivalente.

§  Certificado de historial aeronáutico libre de incidentes o accidentes.

§  Derecho a trabajar en la Unión Europea y pasaporte sin restricciones.

§  Certificado de antecedentes penales.

 

 

Se valorará:

 

§  Estudios universitarios, formación profesional, experiencia aeronáutica en función de la edad del candidato, idiomas, habilitaciones, licencia de piloto de planeador, vuelo acrobático y trabajos previos dentro del ámbito aeronáutico o fuera de él.

Cambridge Consultants is shaping the future of deliveries with precision location and identification technology

Reimagining the future of on-demand deliveries, product design and development firm Cambridge Consultants has developed DelivAir, a drone delivery concept that can deliver a package straight to the hands of its recipient, no matter their location.

Drone delivery systems have been publicised for some time now, but most are restricted by the need to deliver to a specific address. But drones aren’t limited by terrain or traffic, so why should they be limited to delivering to a zip or postal code?

Cambridge Consultants' vision was to make deliveries safely and directly into the recipient's hand. The company has achieved this through a drone delivery system that implements a patent pending two stage routing process. The delivery starts by using GPS to navigate to a user's smart phone location, periodically requesting secure location updates during the flight until it arrives within visual range. Then the drone switches to precision optical tracking and a 3D imaging and ranging system to both locate and authenticate the recipient.



When the drone reaches the recipient, they simply point their mobile phone flash LED to the sky which blinks a coded pattern, allowing the drone to verify that it is delivering to the correct person. The drone moves directly above this flashing LED, remaining at a safe height above ground. The package is then lowered down into the recipient’s hands, using a stabilising winch to keep the package steady, where it is then simply unhitched by the recipient and the drone returns to its base.

“Drone delivery is fast and ideal for something that is needed immediately. In that case, a consumer wants a delivery directly to them as a person – not to a location,” said Nathan Wrench, head of the industrial and energy business at Cambridge Consultants. “Our DelivAir concept has the potential to revolutionise the delivery process, by removing the address restriction that other drone technologies are limited by. We are taking cloud retail to the next level, delivering out of the clouds and into your hand.”



This type of ultra-precision delivery is ideal for instant delivery of items needed right away, such as delivering a first aid kit to a hiker, or an inner tube to a stranded cyclist or even bringing essential components into remote regions during times of disaster. The most compelling use cases may be in cases of medical supplies, such as delivering an EpiPen or a defibrilator to a person in need of these life-saving necessities.

“Ultra-precision is the future of drone delivery, and the opportunities are almost limitless,” said Wrench. “The mobile phone changed the way we make calls, from a location to an individual; we believe this technology has the potential to re-shape e-commerce in the same way, making deliveries to a person a practical proposition, no matter where they are." Airbus Helicopters advances on-board image processing capabilities for VTOL systems



London, In line with its strategy of innovation for the future of vertical flight, Airbus Helicopters is developing an experimental on board image processing management system aimed at performing automatic approaches and landing in challenging conditions, as well as paving the way for future sense & avoid applications on autonomous vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) systems.

Codenamed Eagle, for Eye for Autonomous Guidance and Landing Extension, this system federates the entire helicopter’s image processing functions and feeds them into the avionics system, thus improving the crew’s situation awareness and reducing the pilot’s workload by automating and securing approaches, take-off and landing in the most demanding environments. Ground tests of Eagle have been ongoing since May this year and initial flights tests on a testbed helicopter will begin shortly.

“While existing missions such as search and rescue and offshore transportation will benefit from Eagle’s capabilities, the system will also help address future requirements for operations in urban environments”, said Tomasz Krysinski, Airbus Helicopters Vice-President Research & Technology. “Ultimately, thanks to its ability to provide increased situation awareness, Eagle will also contribute to improve the safety, autonomy and performance of future unmanned vehicles.”

The system, which could be embedded in a variety of existing and future Airbus VTOL vehicles, relies on a gyro-stabilized optronics package, which includes three high resolution cameras and state-of-the-art processing units, as well as on-board video analytics providing advanced functionalities such as object detection and tracking, digital noise reduction as well as deep learning.

Future versions of the Eagle system will also integrate a laser, which combined with the high processing capability could open the door to other applications such as a new generation of search lights, obstacles detection and 3D terrain reconstruction.

London, Airbus Helicopters has recently completed the first full-scale testing for the propulsion system of the CityAirbus demonstrator – a multi-passenger, self-piloted electric vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) vehicle designed for urban air mobility. During this successful testing phase, the CityAirbus team thoroughly checked the individual performance of the ducted propellers as well as the integration of the full-scale propulsion unit with two propellers, electric 100 KW Siemens motors and all electrical systems.

CityAirbus is a battery-powered air vehicle able to vertically take off and land. It is designed to carry up to four passengers over congested megacities to important destinations such as airports or train stations in a fast, affordable and environmentally friendly way. The innovative four-ducted propeller configuration significantly contributes to safety and low acoustic footprint.

“We now have a better understanding of the performance of CityAirbus’ innovative electric propulsion system, which we will continue to mature through rigorous testing while beginning the assembly of the full-scale CityAirbus flight demonstrator” says Marius Bebesel, CityAirbus chief engineer.

The full-scale demonstrator will be tested on ground initially. In the first half of the coming year the development team expects to reach the “power on” milestone, meaning that all motors and electric systems will be switched on for the first time. The first flight is scheduled for the end of 2018. In the beginning, the test aircraft will be remotely piloted, later on a test pilot will be on board.

CityAirbus will be designed to carry up to four passengers on fixed routes with a cruising speed of 120 km/h. It will be initially operated by a pilot to ease certification and public acceptance, paving the way to future fully-autonomous operations.

Carbures signs its first contract with SABCA, Tier 1 from Belgium

Carbures continues growing in international markets. The Company has obtained its first contract with Société Anonyme Belge de Constructions Aéronautiques - SABCA, Tier 1 (supplier of first level) of reference in Belgium. Through this contract, Carbures is covering part of the production of Topcovers for the Flap Support Fairings of the Airbus A350. In this way, the group led by Rafael Contreras, through its division Aerospace & Defense, expands its portfolio of clients and opens to new international markets in the aeronautics sector.

With almost 20 years of experience and a multisectoral knowledge, Carbures has three aeronautical parts manufacturing plants in Spain - Illescas (Toledo), Jerez de la Frontera and El Puerto de Santa María (both in Cadiz) - that make the Company meet the needs of its customers in a flexible way. Carbures works with different technologies in packages of low, medium and high volume, which implies competitive offers with respect to the competition and makes that the portfolios of clients and programs are increasing, as in this case.


The parts of this new package are being manufactured in the plant that Carbures has in Jerez and the technological process used is Hand Lay Up. Carbures already has a wide experience in this family of Airbus aircraft, since already manufactures, among other references, Cover Panels for the Belly Fairing of the A350.

Founded in 1920, SABCA specializes in the design and production of aerostructures, advanced lifting mechanisms and complex activation systems, both in metal and composite, for three markets: Space, Civil Aviation and Defense. Last year SABCA showed a lot of interest in the technological capabilities of Carbures and in the company's global leadership position as Tier 2 in the field of composites. After requesting an offer to Carbures in April 2017, the Belgian Tier 1 visited the Carbures Illescas factory in order to check on the company's capabilities in the aerospace sector and decided to sign a business contract.

TsAGI scientists make preparations for model tests of the MC-21 with the PD-14



Specialists of the Zhukovsky Central AeroHydrodynamic Institute (TsAGI, a member of the National Research Center" Institute named after N.E.Zhukovsky") are preparing to study a model of the MC-21 with PD-14 engines.

The scientists will define aerodynamic characteristics of the platform in configuration with the power unit after measurements by electromechanical balances. The testing will take place at TsAGI’s transonic wind tunnel and include work at high angles of attack. It will allow simulation in both takeoff and landing modes.

TsAGI specialists created a model of the MC-21 for the testing. According to research results, the scientists will be able to identify aero-coefficients vs. Mach numbers and angles of attack. The PD-14 is a promising turbojet engine (lead developer — JSC “UEC-Aviadvigatel”), the main feature being the use of a unified generator. The PD-14 is one of the two engines for the MC-21 produced by PJSC “Irkut,” the second being the PW-1400G
