Project BALIS – DLR is developing and testing fuel cells in the megawatt range for air transport - DLR Portal

• DLR is developing and testing the world's first fuel cell powertrain for aircraft in the megawatt range.
• The BALIS project is being supported by the German Federal Ministry of Transport with 26 million euros.
• The funding decision was presented by Parliamentary State Secretary Steffen Bilger on 21 January 2021.
• Focus: Aeronautics, energy, transport, electric flight, hydrogen, fuel cell technology
