Experts of the National University of Science and Technology MISiS in Moscow have developed a new technology for making "nuclear batteries" with nickel-63 isotopes for use in various sectors, including healthcare and space research, reports the university's press service. The nickel-63 isotope's properties make it a very convenient basic element for tiny, safe and low-power batteries, also Move over, European business charter airlines, Ryanair is coming for your passengers — and your money. The airline has a new all-business Boeing 737-700 with recliner seats, and is pitching it as "ideal for private corporate, sports team or group travel" on flights up to six hours in length.

At the beginning of the month, Emirates commenced flights on what is currently the longest non-stop commercial route in the world between Dubai and Auckland, New Zealand.
