¿Cómo nacieron los aviones antiincendios?¿Y los helicópteros?¿Qué dicen sus pilotos?

Si hubo una carrera espacial apasionante entre USA y URSS, podría establecerse una carrera similar en cuanto a la aviación antiincendios, entre USA y Canadá. Mientras que USA apostó por los aviones con base en tierra, Canadá lo hizo por los hidroaviones y anfibios.
De entre todas las conversiones que hicieron los estadounidenses de aviones de guerra a aviones antiincendios, posiblemente el más espectacular fue la del gigantesco Martin Mars ( y -2-, -3-, -4-, -5-)

Dentro de los aviones antiincendios, posiblemente el más popular en Europa, y en España, es el Canadair CL 215/215T/415 (y el 515 en un futuro). Este avión fue el primer avión diseñado explícitamente como avión antiincendios, y no una transformación de uno existente.
En cuanto a España, hemos tenido varios desarrollos interesantes.
Es interesante el movimiento que está habiendo en desarrollar aviones aintiincendios gigantescos.

Algunos, desde que vieron volar los helicópteros, tuvieron claro que esta aeronave sería crucial en la lucha antiincendios. Y hubo que esperar a que los helicópteros tuvieran suficiente potenica y, por tanto, capacidad de carga. Pero aquí están con sus heli-baldes, listos para combatir las llamas.
Y si Coulson lo logra, podrán operar incluso de noche [-1-] y [-2-]
