RIO DE JANEIRO—Esta es la historia de mi entrevista improvisada aquí el 2 de abril con el teniente general Afshin Khajehfard, jefe de la Organización de Industrias de Aviación de Irán (IAIO) y una de las personas más sancionadas en la industria de defensa global.

Todo comenzó con una vista inesperada en las profundidades del Hall 4 de la exposición de Aeronáutica y Defensa de América Latina (LAAD). "¿Cuáles son sus prioridades de desarrollo tecnológico?" pregunté.

Khajehfard respondió cambiando de tema, quejándose sobre las sanciones internacionales a su organización y a él mismo.
