Nadie estaba de acuerdo con la forma en que los políticos europeos querían cobrar a las aerolineas por sus emisiones contaminantes ya que el modo no se veía justo para las aerolíneas europeas frente a las de otros países, porque se quería cobrar por emisiones realizadas fuera del espacio aéreo europeo, y sobre todo por el hecho de que ese dinero recaudado no se iba a invertir en programas medioambientales que de verdad compensansen las emisiones de óxidos de carbono por parte de los motores de los aviones. An Airbus ACJ319 with the fuel-saving Sharklet option has been ordered by a Chinese customer, in the first deal for this version from the country. The order builds on the strong Airbus corporate jet presence in greater China, where there are around 25 orders to date.
Airbus corporate jets such as the ACJ318 and ACJ319 are already in widespread service in China, with operators such as BAA Jet Management, Beijing Airlines, China Eastern Executive Aviation, Comlux Asia, Deer Jet, Hong Kong Jet and TAG Aviation.
“China is a relatively new market for corporate jets, as well as having one of the highest economic growth rates, making it a bright spot in today’s business jet market, especially at the top end where Airbus corporate jets serve with distinction,” points out Airbus Chief Operating Officer, Customers, John Leahy. “The Chinese business jet market also favours the ability to carry larger groups, for which Airbus corporate jets are especially well suited.”
Airbus’ ACJ318, ACJ319, ACJ320 and ACJ321 share a similar length and wingspan with competing large business jets, but have the widest and tallest cabin, delivering unequalled comfort, space and freedom of movement.
The wider cabin of Airbus corporate jets allows unique features such as a large circular table that converts to a square one, which is popular in cultures such as China’s because it allows the ideal arrangements for both socialising and playing games such as Mah Jong.
Airbus corporate jets also come from a good family – the world’s most modern – which means that they deliver inherently good value, with many standard features that are lacking in other business jets. These include pilot and mechanic friendly common cockpits, fly by wire controls and centralised maintenance. Other features include a richer baseline specification, extensive use of weight-saving materials such as carbonfibre, and new range-extending engine options.
More than 490 Airbus customers and operators benefit for a worldwide network of technical support and training and support centres, which includes services tailored to corporate jet users, including staff based in China.
Airbus corporate jets now also has commercial offices in both Beijing and Hong Kong.
Airbus corporate jets have won more than 170 orders to date, from companies, individuals and governments, and are flying on every continent, including Antarctica.

A national research competition dedicated to new sustainable energies in the aviation sector in China was launched at the 9th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition (Zhuhai Airshow). The sponsors of this competition are EADS Innovation Works, the EADS group’s corporate research and technology network, Airbus, a leading aircraft manufacturer within the EADS Group, and ENN, a leading clean energy company based in China. Teams from research institutions all across the country are invited to participate in this nationwide competition.
Named “Join the Spirit,” this competition presents a challenge for Chinese research teams to come up with innovative concepts linked to new sustainable energies for the aviation sector in various different domains (Algae bio-fuel for aviation, Solar energy for aerospace, Energy storage for aerospace, Smart energy network, Optimization, improvement of energy efficiency etc.). Participants are given five months to work on their selected themes after which the reports can be submitted on a dedicated website: http://jointhespirit.eads.com.
A list of 5 finalists will then be selected and invited for the “grand finale” at the Airbus final assembly line factory in Tianjin and the teams will be awarded the following prizes:
- The Champions: Prize worth up to 20,000 RMB (approximately 3200 USD) plus an opportunity for project collaboration with funding up to 400,000 RMB (app. 64,000 USD)
- 1st Runner-up: a prize worth up to 10,000 RMB (approximately 1600 USD)
- 2nd Runner-up: a prize worth up to 5,000 RMB (approximately 800 USD)
- Most marketable/viable idea: a prize worth up to 1,000 RMB (approximately 160 USD)
- Most creative idea: a prize worth up to 1,000 RMB
“There is always a huge gap between the classroom and the real world. With this competition, Chinese students will have the opportunity to put into practice what they’ve learnt in their textbooks through working with a real-world challenge in new energies for the aviation market. They will thus have the chance to enhance their academic knowledge in the frame of a stimulating teamwork environment,” explains Jean Botti Chief Technical Officer of EADS.

Interjet signs purchase agreement for 40 A320neo
Mexican low-cost carrier and all-Airbus operator Interjet signed a purchase agreement for 40 A320neo aircraft. Interjet will announce the aircraft’s engine selection at a later date. The A320neo has over 95 percent airframe commonality making it an easy fit for Interjet’s fleet of 36 A320s. Later this month, Interjet will receive an additional A320 aircraft.
In only seven years of operations, Interjet has become a leading domestic airline in Mexico, having quickly expanded their network throughout the country and into the United States, Central America and the Caribbean. The new A320neo will support their continued network expansion and fleet renewal plans. Interjet has a backlog of 45 A320 Family aircraft, including today’s order.
“Adding the newest aircraft technology to our already young and efficient A320 fleet will allow us to operate some of the most cost-efficient and environmentally-friendly equipment available in aviation,” said Interjet Chairman Miguel Aleman Velasco.
“The A320neo will help Interjet maintain our leading position in Mexico’s airline business,” said Interjet President Miguel Alemán Magnani.

Sukhoi Company displays its military and civil products at the international exhibition of defense technology Indodefence-2012 that was opened today in Jakarta (Indonesia). Professionals and visitors to the exhibition will be able to learn the specifications and combat capabilities of the latest super-maneuverable Su-35 fighter and two-seat Su-30MK2 fighter. Indonesia is an important partner for Russia in the sphere of military-technical cooperation. At present the Indonesian Air Force has 10 „Su” — family fighters in service: five Su-27SKM and five Su-30MK2. In late 2010 a new contract was signed for the supply to Indonesia of six Su-30MK2 multi-role fighters.
Su-27SKM is a single-seat multi-role fighter. It is designed to destroy air targets in free space and on the background of the land, as well as for operations on land and sea targets with the use of guided and unguided air weapons by day and night, and in adverse weather conditions.
Su-30MK2 is a two-seat multi-role fighter. Aircraft weapon control system of the aircraft provides detection, tracking and destruction by aerial weapons of air, land and sea targets in all weather conditions, day and night. The fighter can also be used to train pilots in piloting technique and the use of aerial weapons. Presence of a second crew member reduces the load on the pilot in combat missions with the use of long-range guided weapons, night operations, and in long flights with air refueling.
The Russian-Indonesian cooperation develops also in the field of civil aviation. Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company and Indonesian Sky Aviation regional carrier signed a contract in June last year for the supply of 12 Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft in a basic configuration.
At the present time the process of validation of the type certificate of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 (model RRJ-95B) aircraft is going on. It permits SSJ100 exports to Indonesia and its operation by the airlines of the country without restrictions.

EASA APPROVAL FOR JETSTREAM 32 LIFE EXTENSION PROGRAMME
- BAE Systems Regional Aircraft has received European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approval for its Life Extension Programme (LEP) for the 18-19 seat Jetstream 32 regional turboprop aircraft
EASA approval was granted in early October and the LEP manual is now available for those operators who wish to sign up to the programme on BAE Systems' i-Sapphire online facility.
Under the LEP the airframe life limit of the aircraft will be raised from the current 45,000 landings to 67,000 landings. The LEP introduces a revised structural maintenance programme for the aircraft embodied through the Structurally Significant Inspection Document (SSID) which operators can buy from BAE Systems Regional Aircraft via a Modification Service Bulletin.
Welcoming this news today, Mr Sean McGovern, Business Director Support for BAE Systems Regional Aircraft stated: "We are delighted to have obtained EASA approval for this important Life Extension Programme for the Jetstream 32 which we can now offer to our operators, giving them many more years of useful service from the aircraft, as well as improved residual values."
There are some 135 Jetstream 32s operating worldwide, many of which are approaching the 45,000 landings limitation. BAE Systems has been working with fleet lead-time operator, Aerolinea de Antioquia (ADA) of Medellin, Colombia to develop the programme. The airline operates seven Jetstream 32s on scheduled services from Medellin to 11 destinations in north eastern Colombia. ADA will be the first operator to avail themselves of the LEP.
For operators whose aircraft are covered under United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or other jurisdictions, BAE Systems will support operators applying to their national airworthiness authority for continued aircraft operations beyond the 45,000 landings limit.
This Jetstream 32 LEP continues the sustained programme of investment by BAE Systems Regional Aircraft into its family of aircraft and builds upon similar LEPs that have been introduced in recent years for the BAe 146 and Avro RJ jet airliners
BAE SYSTEMS DELIVERS ITS 300TH F-4 FLYING DRONE FOR U.S. AIR FORCE
- BAE Systems successfully converted its 300th F-4 Phantom fighter jet into an unmanned flying drone for the U.S. Air Force.
The achievement is a significant milestone in the 16-year-long QF-4 program, which provides full-scale, remotely controlled aerial targets that the Air Force uses for weapons testing and aircraft training.
The QF-4 work is conducted at BAE Systems' 123,000-square-foot hangar in Mojave, California. Approximately 100 employees provide a range of services to transform decommissioned F-4s into QF-4s, a complex process that typically takes about six months. Depending on the condition of the F-4s, the services may include systems engineering and integration; electrical, mechanical, and software engineering; and various types of structural alterations.
"Our proven performance on this program exemplifies our global capabilities to upgrade and modify aircraft," said Gordon Eldridge, vice president and general manager of Aerospace Solutions at BAE Systems. "We have been the sole provider of QF-4s for the Air Force since 1996. Congratulations to the entire Mojave team, which now has more than 35 years of combined experience and a solid track record of success."
There are 14 more QF-4s scheduled for delivery by the middle of 2013. After each conversion is complete, the aircraft is flown to Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida and other training sites, where it is used primarily for target practice.
In addition to the QF-4 program, BAE Systems offers military customers around the world a range of services for aircraft upgrades and modifications, including for F-16 fighters and C-130 transports. These services include state-of-the-art avionics and electronics upgrades, as well as heavy maintenance support and structural modification programs. For example:
• BAE Systems is a leading systems integration provider of avionics upgrades for F-16s. In August, South Korea selected BAE Systems as the sole source contractor to upgrade its fleet of more 130 F-16s. Additionally, the company supports 270 of the U.S. Air National Guard's upgraded F-16s and 50 of the Turkish Air Force's upgraded F-16s. BAE Systems' upgrade solution includes the Commercial Fire Control Computer, which is currently the highest throughput and most supportable mission computer in any F-16.
• BAE Systems also has a strong history of performance in support of C-130s. The company has designed, supported and completed more than 200 modifications to C-130 variants since the late 1990s. In 2011, BAE Systems was awarded a $23 million U.S. Air Force contract to design and test mission computers for 37 C-130 aircraft. November 12, 2012: On November 2nd the Chinese J-15S naval fighter made its first flight. This is the two-seat version, with the guy in the rear being the weapons system officer (or WSO). Thus the J-15S is similar to the U.S. Air Force F-15E. PALMDALE, Calif. – Nov. 5, 2012 – The Royal Australian Air Force's Chief of Air Force, Air Marshal Geoff Brown, met Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) executives during a visit to the company's F-35 Lightning II production facility in Palmdale on Nov. 2. As part of his visit, Air Marshal Brown received an update on the F-35 program and observed the first F-35 center fuselage being manufactured at Palmdale for the Royal Australian Air Force as part of the low-rate initial production Lot 6.

The first inlet ducts were jig-loaded on Oct. 9. These will form the first of two Royal Australian Air Force F-35 center fuselages – denoted AU-1 and AU-2 – to be delivered in 2014 for pilot training.
Air Marshal Brown toured the Integrated Assembly Line (IAL) that produces the center fuselage. The IAL maximizes robotics and automation, providing additional capacity and assembly capability while meeting engineering tolerances not easily achieved manually. The IAL is one of the ways Northrop Grumman increases the program's affordability by reducing program costs and labor requirements.
"We were honored to host Air Marshal Brown here in Palmdale," said Michelle Scarpella, vice president of the F-35 program for Northrop Grumman. "He was able to see firsthand our advanced facility and manufacturing techniques that will help deliver the most advanced and most effective stealthy strike fighter to the Royal Australian Air Force."
In 2002, Australia joined the F-35 program. As one of eight international partners on the program, Australia has made significant contributions to the design and development phases of the program, and plans to purchase 100 F-35s.
As a principal member of the Lockheed Martin-led F-35 industry team, Northrop Grumman performs a significant share of the work required to develop and produce the aircraft. In addition to producing the F-35 center fuselage, Northrop Grumman also designed and produces the aircraft's radar and other key avionics including electro-optical and communications subsystems; develops mission systems and mission-planning software; leads the team's development of pilot and maintenance training system courseware; and manages the team's use, support and maintenance of low-observable technologies. In 2011, the company delivered 22 center fuselages and is on track to deliver 36 center fuselages this year. It will make its 100th delivery in early 2013.

Airbus Military and PT Dirgantara Indonesia have signed an agreement to jointly launch an upgraded version of CASA C212
Long term strategic cooperation continues
Airbus Military and PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PT DI) have signed an agreement to jointly launch an upgraded version of the Airbus Military C212-400 as a further step in their long term cooperation agreement. The aircraft, renamed as NC212, will be offered to both civil and military customers and will be a highly competitive offer in the market segment of light aircraft, being equipped with new digital avionics and autopilot systems. It will also have a new civil interior for up to 28 passengers compared to the current 25, increasing its cost efficiency significantly. The NC212 will be EASA and FAA FAR 25 certified.
The agreement foresees joint development, manufacturing, commercialization and customer support to cover the needs of the civilian, cargo and military light aircraft market segments for the next decade. The potential market in this segment is estimated at 400-450 aircraft in the next ten years. A Final Assembly Line is to be set up in the PT DI facilities in Bandung. This is a further step towards increasing the cooperation between the two long-standing partners.
The NC212 is the second immediate result of the "Teaming Agreement" signed between Airbus Military and PT DI, which supports PT DI's revitalization through specific cooperation and business development projects, and aims to achieve a long term strategic partnership between Airbus Military and PT DI in the near future. The recent order for nine CN295s from the Indonesian Government and the related C295 cooperation packages between Airbus Military and PT DI were the first immediate results of this plan, including the creation of a CN295 Delivery Centre, a light CN295 Final Assembly Line and the setting up of a Service Centre in Bandung.
Since October last year, both companies have already put in place joint working teams located in the PT DI facilities in Bandung, with Airbus Military having deployed on-site. These teams are working in industrial and commercial areas, focusing on generating new business for both companies and improving industrial capabilities, engineering processes, IT tools and know-how transfer, in order to transform PTDI into a leading aerospace company for light and medium aircraft in the Asia Pacific region.

Airbus Military and PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PT DI) have signed an agreement to jointly launch an upgraded version of the Airbus Military C212-400 as a further step in their long term cooperation agreement. The aircraft, renamed as NC212, will be offered to both civil and military customers and will be a highly competitive offer in the market segment of light aircraft, being equipped with new digital avionics and autopilot systems. It will also have a new civil interior for up to 28 passengers compared to the current 25, increasing its cost efficiency significantly. The NC212 will be EASA and FAA FAR 25 certified.
The agreement foresees joint development, manufacturing, commercialization and customer support to cover the needs of the civilian, cargo and military light aircraft market segments for the next decade. The potential market in this segment is estimated at 400-450 aircraft in the next ten years. A Final Assembly Line is to be set up in the PT DI facilities in Bandung. This is a further step towards increasing the cooperation between the two long-standing partners.
The NC212 is the second immediate result of the "Teaming Agreement" signed between Airbus Military and PT DI, which supports PT DI's revitalization through specific cooperation and business development projects, and aims to achieve a long term strategic partnership between Airbus Military and PT DI in the near future. The recent order for nine CN295s from the Indonesian Government and the related C295 cooperation packages between Airbus Military and PT DI were the first immediate results of this plan, including the creation of a CN295 Delivery Centre, a light CN295 Final Assembly Line and the setting up of a Service Centre in Bandung.
Since October last year, both companies have already put in place joint working teams located in the PT DI facilities in Bandung, with Airbus Military having deployed on-site. These teams are working in industrial and commercial areas, focusing on generating new business for both companies and improving industrial capabilities, engineering processes, IT tools and know-how transfer, in order to transform PTDI into a leading aerospace company for light and medium aircraft in the Asia Pacific region.
"This is further proof of our increased cooperation with Indonesia. We see a promising future for this very competitive NC212 in many countries worldwide. With the continued support of the Indonesian Government, PT DI and Airbus Military will be able to achieve many and great things together", said Ignacio Alonso, Senior Vice President for Commercial, Strategy and Industrial Relations, Asia.

Airbus Military was informed at the end of this afternoon of an accident of a C295 aircraft of the Algerian Air Force in the area of Lozere in the South of France which occurred around 15h45 hours this afternoon. The aircraft was on its way from Paris, France, to Algeria.
There is no further information available at this stage.It has been confirmed that there were 6 people on board.
Airbus Military will send a Go Team to the site of the accident to help clarify the circumstances of this accident.

TransAsia Airways orders six additional A321neo

TransAsia Airways of Taiwan has placed a firm order with Airbus for another six A321neo aircraft. The new aircraft will be part of the airline's fleet expansion and will allow it to develop new routes to regional destinations. The aircraft will be powered by Pratt and Whitney PW1100G engines.
The latest contract takes TransAsia Airways' total orders for Airbus single aisle aircraft to 29, of which 11 have already been delivered. The carrier's single aisle backlog now comprises 12 A321neo and six Sharklet-equipped A321ceo. In addition, the airline also has two widebody A330-300s on order, with first delivery scheduled later this year.
"The A321neo is a perfect fit for our strategy to grow efficiently in both domestic and regional markets and is the ideal solution to our fleet needs" said Vincent Lin, Chairman of TransAsia Airways. "With its wide cabin and outstanding fuel performance, the A321neo will bring new levels of comfort to our passengers whilst minimising our environmental footprint."

With more than 8,600 aircraft ordered and over 5,200 aircraft delivered to over 374 customers and operators worldwide, the A320 Family is the world's best-selling single-aisle aircraft family.

ATM teams from Airbus and EADS to participate in seven SESAR JU Integrated Flight Trials
Paving the way for reduced emissions and optimising airspace capacity throughout the North Atlantic and Continental Europe

Airbus and its air traffic management (ATM) subsidiaries – Airbus ProSky, Quovadis and Metron Aviation – together with the EADS division Cassidian, have all been selected to participate in the upcoming SESAR Joint Undertaking (SESAR JU) Integrated Flight Trials. The SESAR JU programme involves a large number of stakeholders in key locations across the North Atlantic and Continental Europe.
The seven integrated flight trials involving these Airbus/EADS teams will commence in early 2013 and conclude by the end of 2014. Together they form part of the SESAR JU's on-going 'Atlantic Interoperability initiative to Reduce Emissions III (AIRE III) SESAR Integrated Flight Trials.' AIRE is the joint European Commission and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) programme which aims to reduce CO2 emissions and accelerate the uptake of ATM best practices and to capitalise on today's aircraft technology. These integrated flight trials will validate technology and procedures to deliver innovative ATM solutions which will be immediately operational, and allow stakeholders to take direct advantage of the benefits.
Eric Stefanello, CEO of Airbus ProSky commented: "Airbus, EADS and our ATM subsidiaries are pleased to support the coordination between airlines, airports and Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) in these upcoming SESAR JU flight trials." • "ATC Full Datalink" (AFD) will demonstrate how commercial flights can be conducted seamlessly through controlled airspace by making extensive use of FANS B+ equipped aircraft allowing voiceless Controller-Pilot-Data-Link-Communications (CPDLC) for routine operations like clearances, hand over and routing instructions. The AFD trials extend the use of CPDLC even below Flight Level 285, which is currently the limit in some European Upper Airspace. AFD is led by ENAV, with consortium members Airbus ProSky, NATS, easyJet, Air France, Boeing, SELEX-SI and SITA. Subcontractors include Airbus.
• "New Bridge" is a project designed to sequence air traffic earlier than current operations. The operation is to extend on current airline practices to schedule any aircraft type movements and to provide extended coordination between airlines operation centres and related air traffic control sectors, once movements have actually departed. New Bridge will increase flight efficiency through improved management of sector loads and arrival traffic sequencing by using the maximum time horizon available for the business trajectory. In particular New Bridge will consider the exchange of 4D trajectory information for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) with a Civil Air Traffic Centre.
New Bridge is led by LFV, with consortium members Airbus ProSky, Swedavia, Estonian ANS, SAS, Novair, Estonian Air, Malmö Aviation, Rockwell Collins France, NLR and Egis Avia. Subcontractors include Airbus and the EADS division, Cassidian.
• "Fair Stream" will pave the way for the use of 'target-time-of-arrival' instead of 'calculated-take-off-time' as a capacity/demand balancing measure coupled with traffic sequencing and 'required-time-of-arrival' exchanges. The evaluation and validation will be performed on commercial flights arriving at Paris, Munich and Zurich during time periods when traffic load exceeds capacity and the delays are significant. Led by DSNA, Fair Stream's consortium members include Airbus ProSky, DFS, Skyguide (Functional Airspace Block Europe Central [FABEC] members), Air France, Régional, Delta Air Lines, Lufthansa and SWISS. Subcontractors include Airbus.
• "Topflight" will develop new procedures designed to allow transatlantic flights from London Heathrow to follow a trajectory as close as possible to their 'reference business trajectories' while remaining de-conflicted and meeting their Arrival Manager sequenced times of arrival. Led by the UK's NATS, Topflight includes consortium members NAV Canada and British Airways. Subcontractors include Airbus ProSky, Airbus and Quovadis.
• "CANARIAS" (CO2 and Noise Approach Reduction for International Aviation Sustainability) will take full advantage of RNP capabilities for a large variety of aircraft to demonstrate reduction of track miles, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions through the implementation of Required Navigation Performance with Authorization Required (RNP-AR) approaches at Lanzarote and La Palma airports. The project is led by Quovadis, with consortium members AENA, easyJet, Thomas Cook Airlines and Air Berlin.
• "AMBER" (Arrival Modernisation for Better Efficiency in Riga) will demonstrate green flights using the Bombardier Q400: a first in Europe with a regional aircraft flying RNP-AR procedures. The Vilnius to Riga and the Warsaw to Riga routes will be used to quantify the reduction of the CO2 emissions when comparing conventional navigation with direct routings applying Performance Based Navigation (PBN) procedures in the terminal airspace. Amber is led by Air Baltic, with consortium members Quovadis and LGS.
• "DFlex" will demonstrate enhanced flexibility to the C-PDS (Collaborative Pre-Departure Sequence) process currently in operation at Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport, by allowing flight reordering based on airline's business requirements. Brazil will require nearly 1,100 new aircraft in next 20 years
World's fourth largest passenger traffic market expects demand worth $160 billion

According to the latest Airbus Global Market Forecast (GMF), Brazil will need 1,060 new aircraft between 2012 and 2031. The 700 single-aisle, 310 twin-aisle and 50 very large aircraft forecasted have an estimated current market value of $160.7 billion and are expected to help meet the demand of domestic and foreign carriers as well as addressing the country's rapidly growing air travel market.
With a GDP currently growing above the world average, socioeconomic indicators predict Brazil's economy to more than double over the next 20 years. The country's domestic air traffic market, has doubled since 2006, helping make Brazil the fourth largest passenger traffic market worldwide, following the US, China and Japan.
International traffic has grown by 34 percent since 2009, with foreign carriers largely making up the increased market share. As a key destination for international tourism and one of the world's top 10 metropolitan areas, more than a third of long-haul traffic to Latin America arrives through Brazil, making Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro the region's major gateways. To address increased demand, very large aircraft, such as the A380, are now poised to meet international air traffic requirements needed to serve long-haul flights to Brazil.
"Each day, Brazil becomes a stronger candidate for the A380," said Rafael Alonso, Executive Vice President of Airbus for Latin American and the Caribbean.
