GREEN – The fuselage was fairly cramped. The cabin was a bit noisy, and the ride was bumpy. The in-flight meal was whatever food you brought aboard in your pockets. And there was no flight attendant to ask for something to drink.
Still, those traveling in a Ford Tri-Motor propeller-driven airplane 100 years ago knew it was just about the only way to fly for pleasure on a plane that carried passengers.
