El presidente de Aernnova, Juan Ignacio López Gandasegui, afirmó hoy que el año 2010 se presenta "como un año de transición", mientras que en 2011 despegará el sector aeronáutico, "según indican todas las previsiones de los grandes fabricantes".
Durante la conferencia "Aernnova y el sector aeronáutico: enfrentando la crisis actual", impartida en el Máster en Gestión de Empresas de la UPV/EHU, celebrada en la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales (Sarriko), López Gandasegui explicó que, en el caso del sector aeronáutico, la crisis ha frenado el crecimiento durante el bienio 2009-2010, pero el futuro "parece que depara unos crecimientos medios anuales superiores al 6 por ciento durante el período 2011-2026".
The UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch has called for regulators to develop safeguards to prevent take-off performance miscalculations. The AAIB argues that they happen too often and the potential consequences are serious.
It recommends to the European Aviation Safety Agency that it should provide specifications for a take-off performance monitoring system (TOPMS) and require it to be fitted to airliners.

que ha iniciado las pruebas en tierra del avión de transporte militar
A400M de su filial Airbus Military y que se ensambla en Sevilla, como
último trámite para su primer vuelo, algo que se espera se produzca
antes de que finalice el presente año.
El primer aparato del A400M fue puesto a disposición de la
organización "Flight Test", encargada de verificará el funcionamiento
correcto de los sistemas de vuelo del avión, con el objetivo de
garantizar la seguridad del primer vuelo del aparato y la eficiencia
de la subsiguiente campaña de pruebas de vuelo, informó la compañía.

Boeing and Odense-based Falck Schmidt Defence Systems A/S announced
Tuesday that Boeing Research & Technology will assess Falck Schmidt
fuel cell products for potential use in Boeing renewable-energy power

The announcement followed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding
between the two companies that also points to potential opportunities
for the use of Falck Schmidt composite components and materials in

The A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT), which is an Airbus
Military program, has achieved a new milestone with its first
nighttime refueling operation using the advanced Aerial Refueling Boom
System (ARBS) integrated on the first Australian A330 tanker.
The Royal Australian Air Force A330 MRTT transferred more than 3,300
pounds of fuel through the ARBS during a multi-contact mission
involving two F-16 fighter aircraft.

AAI Corporation said Tuesday that its Shadow Tactical Unmanned
Aircraft Systems (TUAS) have completed 100,000 missions. With 113
systems ordered and 87 delivered, Shadow systems are deployed with the
U.S. Army, Army National Guard, Army Special Forces and Marine Corps.
These systems have amassed more than 445,000 flight hours, the
majority of which have been in support of combat operations in Iraq

Recent antisatellite (ASAT) activities by the United States and China
have revived questions regarding space warfare, the follow-on effects
of potential satellite destruction on a massive scale, national
accountability, and technological challenges to mitigate offensive
threats. Many of these same questions, which emerged during the
initial space race and Cold War, have taken on new emphasis in light
of growing multinational dependence upon satellites and the freedom to
access space. This article briefly reviews the history of US and
Soviet ASAT capabilities and testing during the Cold War, examines the
recent Chinese shoot-down of its failed Feng Yun-1C satellite and the
US shoot-down of the failed USA-193 satellite, and compares and
contrasts these two ASAT missions, highlighting the follow-on threats
to other nations' satellites. It also presents mitigating strategies
that may lessen the threat of future offensive countersatellite
operations, including enhanced situational awareness, improved
survivability/reduced vulnerability, and increased sustainability; it
then offers a brief look at countries capable of offensive
countersatellite operations.
Plans for the installation of wind farms the world over are being
delayed or abandoned due to objections from the aviation community or
air defense interests. The problem is that when it comes to low flying
aircraft or wind turbines, conventional radar has a bit of an identity
crisis - not being able to tell the difference. Recent tests in the
U.K. of "stealth" turbine technology could provide a solution.

November 2, 2009: The U.S. Air Force has a morale problem with its
combat pilots. The issue is lack of action for the pilots. That, plus
the increased use of unmanned aircraft, and the very real prospect
that the age of the manned combat aircraft may be coming to an end.
This is made worse with hundreds of fighter pilots being assigned to
operating Predator and Reaper UAVs. This was not popular duty, even
though the pilots still draw flight pay. It is tedious work, although
the UAV operators often saw more combat action than they did when
piloting F-16s or F-15s.

profesionales debido al insuficiente número de licenciados anuales que
no cubren la demanda, lo que provoca que las más de 1.400 ofertas que

Al número insuficiente de licenciados se une el problema de la
deslocalización, puesto que más del 50 por ciento de los profesionales
