El Gobierno sacará a Bolsa hasta un 30 por ciento de AENA (Aeropuertos Españoles y Navgeación Aérea), para ingresar alrededor de 1.200 millones de euros y asegurarse el éxito en la privatización de ese ente, proyecto en el que trabaja para ceder a inversores privados la mayoría de la empresa gestora de aeropuertos. Según el esquema propuesto por la propia empresa, en su nuevo accionariado quedaría el Estado como accionista principal, con una participación inferior al 51 por ciento. Su posición sería acompañada por un núcleo estable de entre tres y cinco grandes socios, que controlarían un 30 por ciento, mientras que el capital restante se diluiría entre inversores institucionales, como fondos de inversión y minoristas.

WICHITA, Kan., Oct 31, 2013 – Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, recently concluded all high-speed certification flights with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on the new Citation X. This marks the completion of all testing requirements needed to validate the aircraft's unmatched maximum operating speed of Mach 0.935 (617 mph, 536 ktas), solidifying the Citation X's position as the fastest civilian aircraft in the world.

Michael Thacker, Cessna senior vice president of Engineering, said: "The high-speed testing of the new Citation X was a success. All responses from the high-speed certification testing were well within the expected performance envelope. While these are the results our engineers fully anticipated, this final round of testing went so smoothly the conditions were completed in fewer flights and hours than planned."

The high-speed testing regimen includes handling qualities, stability and control in addition to maneuverability conditions at high speeds. The Citation X high-speed validation was accomplished as a result of collaboration with FAA pilots and Cessna's Engineering Flight Test Team during the past weeks. Over 1,300 hours have been flown in the Citation X test program in preparation for certification, expected in the early part of 2014.

Brad Thress, Cessna senior vice president of Business Jets, said: "Our Citation X customers will be glad to know they will own the fastest civilian aircraft in the world. There is no quicker way to get from point A to point B than inside a Citation X."

The Citation X has a range of 3,242 nm, a seating capacity for 9 people, and the cutting edge Garmin G5000 avionics package. Four intuitive, full-color touch-screen LCD control panels and three 14-inch high-resolution displays face the pilots upon entering the updated, ergonomic cockpit. Maximum altitude is 51,000 feet, giving the new Citation X the ability to fly above weather patterns and commercial traffic. Two FADEC-controlled Rolls-Royce AE3007C2 turbo fan engines provide passengers with the fastest way to travel non-stop from New York to London, Dubai to Singapore, or Panama City to Sao Paulo.

La nueva infraestructura permitirá, entre otras muchas aplicaciones, fabricar componentes ultraduros para herramientas de corte, espejos de satélites, ventanas transparentes al infrarrojo para sistemas contramedida en aviones o placas para blindajes.

El CSIC inauguró el lunes en la localidad asturiana de Llanera un nuevo equipo de desarrollo industrial para la fabricación de materiales nanoestructurados multifuncionales, denominados 'ultra materiales'.

La nueva infraestructura permitirá, entre otras muchas aplicaciones, fabricar componentes ultraduros para herramientas de corte, espejos de satélites, ventanas transparentes al infrarrojo para sistemas contramedida en aviones o placas para blindajes.

El equipo inaugurado, informa el CSIC en una nota de prensa de la que se hace eco Tendencias 21, es un horno de sinterización de grandes dimensiones: 12 metros de altura por 6 metros de ancho y 5 metros de profundidad. El proceso de sinterización consiste en la aplicación de un tratamiento térmico a un polvo previamente conformado para, mediante la unión entre las partículas adyacentes del material, transformarlo en un producto denso y resistente.

El horno ha sido especialmente diseñado para obtener materiales densos a partir de polvo nanoestructurado mediante el empleo de una técnica híbrida de sinterización por descarga de plasma y prensado en caliente, conocida como SPS/HP por sus siglas en inglés (Spark Plasma Sintering / Hot Press).

El nuevo equipamiento para la fabricación de ultra materiales es capaz de sinterizar mediante la técnica SPS / HP piezas de hasta 400 milímetros de diámetro con formas complejas destinadas entre otras, a aplicaciones en la industria aeroespacial, el sector de la automoción, la electrónica y defensa.

El último contacto con el Centro de Control se producía a  las 21:28h, en las coordenadas 2803 norte, 01542 oeste que corresponde con la Montaña Faneque, que pertenece al municipio de Aldea de San Nicolás (al sur de Gran Canaria). No retornando la aeronave a la hora programada y perdido todo contacto con ella, a las  24:12h se activó finalmente la Alerta, dirigiéndose al lugar un helicóptero de salvamento, un avión de rescate y bomberos de la zona, que tuvieron que hacer frente en la búsqueda a las dificultades de la niebla existente.

Investigadores de la Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña y de otros centros de varios países han desarrollado un fotocatalizador para producir hidrógeno de una manera limpia, renovable y más rentable, a partir del agua y la luz solar. Funciona a temperatura ambiente, a diferencia de los métodos convencionales, que requieren altas temperaturas.

Investigadores del Instituto de Técnicas Energéticas (INTE) de la Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña · BarcelonaTech (UPC) y de otros centros de varios países han desarrollado un sistema para producir hidrógeno de una manera limpia, renovable y más rentable, a partir del agua y la luz solar.

Los científicos han fusionado las propiedades ópticas de los cristales fotónicos tridimensionales (ópalos inversos de óxido de titanio, TiO2) y nanopartículas de oro de 2-3 nanómetros, para desarrollar un catalizador en polvo muy activo. El trabajo se ha publicado en Scientific Reports, la revista open access de Nature. Este nuevo fotocatalizador produce más hidrógeno que los desarrollados hasta ahora.

A diferencia de las plantas convencionales que trabajan con combustibles fósiles y a 800 oC, con el nuevo sistema la producción de hidrógeno es limpia y renovable, pues el proceso fotoquímico se produce a temperatura ambiente y sin coste, ya que se usa energía solar y agua. Por consiguiente, los beneficios energéticos y medioambientales son considerables, señala la UPC en una nota de prensa.

The Air Force has said it plans to buy as many as 100 new bombers for no more than $550 million each. Air Force spokesman Ed Gulick said $581 million had been spent on the Long-Range Strike Bomber (LRS-B) program to date, starting in fiscal 2012.

"The LRS-B is a top modernization priority for the Air Force and critical to our national security," he said. "The Air Force looks forward to working with all participating industry partners on this very important program."

Acusará a Japón de apoyar de manera distorsionada la fabricación y futura exportación del Mitsubishi Regional Jet. Según el alegato brasileño- por ahora solo exigiendo explicaciones y no reparaciones- los jets japoneses competirían deslealmente con los Embraer brasileños.
