The AirCraft Company, a new start up in Wichita, Kansas has announced plans to produce the Pangea SY30J regional airliner – a hybrid-electric, 30 seater aircraft, scheduled to enter service in 2029. The company says that the new aircraft will be able to accommodate passengers' wheel chairs in the cabin as it has addressed "the reduced space in airplane cabins that has led to the neglect of people with reduced mobility."

The U.S. Navy awarded Lockheed Martin a contract worth more than $2 billion, if all options are exercised, to integrate the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) weapon system onto ZUMWALT-class guided missile destroyers (DDGs). CPS is a hypersonic boost-glide weapon system that enables long range missile flight at speeds greater than Mach 5, with high survivability against enemy defenses.

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has proposed a $175,000 civil penalty against Space Exploration Technologies Corp (SpaceX) for failure to submit launch collision analysis trajectory data directly to the FAA prior to the August 19, 2022, launch of the Starlink Group 4-27 mission. SpaceX was required to submit the data to the agency at least seven days prior to an attempted launch.
