Airbus looks to expand in Wichita
 
Airbus North America is looking to bring 100 new workers to Wichita. Bill Greer, vice president of engineering for the Airbus Wichita operations, says the former Kansas Sports Hall of Fame building at 238 N. Mead would be the perfect spot.
 
 
 
Airbus Delivered 38 Aircraft In September
PARIS (Dow Jones)--European commercial aircraft builder Airbus said Wednesday it had delivered 38 aircraft in September, bringing the total in the first nine months of the year to 358. The Toulouse, France-based unit of European Aeronautic Defence & Space Co. NV (EAD.FR) also reported that it booked two new orders last month. Excluding order cancellations, Airbus received net orders for 123 airliners during the January-to-September period.
 
 
Ala. senator moves to block tanker funding over pricing data
The move came two days after the Air Force refused Northrop's demand to hand over the equivalent data that the Air Force divulged to Boeing about the Northrop-EADS bid. The Air Force stood by its contention the disclosure to Boeing was in accordance with regulation and that the information given was inaccurate, outdated and not germane to the new tanker contest.
